(February 26, 2014) - The Edinboro women's basketball team, tied for 24^th in the latest USA Today Sports Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll, extended its winning streak to five games with a 77-56 win over Clarion on Wednesday night in McComb Fieldhouse. The Fighting Scots head into the PSAC Tournament as the top seed and concluded the regular season with a 21-5 overall and 15-1 PSAC West record. The Golden Eagles needed a win over Edinboro or losses by Mercyhurst and Seton Hill to claim the sixth and final PSAC West berth. They were eliminated when Seton Hill edged California (Pa.) 72-69. Clarion finishes the season at 11-15 overall and 5-11 in conference.
