Majewski, Valerie
Edinboro now moves on to host the PSAC Final Four for the second time in the last three years. The PSAC champions in 2011 and 2012, the Fighting Scots will face West Chester, the number two seed from the Eastern Division on Saturday, March 8 at 3:30 p.m. The Golden Rams are now 19-8 after pulling away from Kutztown for a 86-74 victory. In the first semifinal game slated to tip off at 1:00 p.m., Bloomsburg, the number one seed out of the East and the defending PSAC champion, will square off against Gannon, seeded number two in the West, in a matchup of nationally-ranked squads. Gannon is ranked third and comes in at 26-2 after edging California(Pa.) 62-57. No. 14 Bloomsburg coasted past East Stroudsburg 76-51 to improve to 24-3 with its 17th straight win.

The first two meetings this season were close, with Edinboro prevailing by seven and six points. The third meeting started off as it would be of a similar nature, but a near-perfect seven minute stretch in the first half left the Crimson Hawks facing a large deficit.

IUP would jump out to a 13-7 lead less than seven minutes into the game as Ashley Stoner dominated inside with six points. Edinboro proceeded to run off nine straight points to take a 15-13 lead.
Hippo, Lauren
scored five points to boost the lead back to 17 at 47-30.
IUP outscored the Scots 7-2 over the next two-and-a-half minutes to again pull to within 12 at 49-37. Edinboro answered with a 24-6 run that left little doubt as to the outcome. When Freeland scored on a fastbreak layup with 6:49 to play Edinboro had its biggest lead of the night at 73-43. Majewski was again the catalyst, scoring eight points, including a pair of 3-pointers.

Edinboro ended the night shooting a season-high 55.4 percent from the floor (31 of 56), and also had a season-high on 3-point percentage, making 9 of 14 for 64.3 percent. The only place the Scots struggled was from the charity stripe, where they were 8 of 17.
IUP, meanwhile, finished the night at 42.3 percent (22 of 52), but made just 2 of 12 3-pointers. The Crimson Hawks were 14 of 20 at the line. Edinboro held a 34-30 rebounding edge, and committed 12 turnovers to IUP's 15.

Majewski led a trio of Fighting Scots in double figures with 21 points, her sixth game of 20-or-more points this season. The junior guard made 8 of 14 field goals, including 5 of 7 3-pointers. She added nine assists and four steals.

Jackson moved into 23rd place in career scoring with 1,078 points.

Lindsay battled foul trouble most of the night, playing just 21 minutes. The junior do-everything player still managed to contribute nine points. Freeland chipped in with eight points and seven boards and Katie Collins had six points, five rebounds and three assists in a strong relief effort.

Stoner led IUP with 21 points, making 9 of 14 field goals. Lindsay Stamp, the third-leading scorer in the PSAC at 18.0 ppg., finished the night with 13 points on 4 of 12 shooting, and had a game-high nine rebounds. No other Crimson Hawk scored more than seven points.
