Hrycko's Four Goals Not Enough as Scots Fall To Griffins 14-8

scored with 2:47 showing on the clock to cut the deficit to 6-4.

The Griffins scored three goals in the final 1:16 to extend the lead to 9-4 before halftime. Fagan tallied her fourth goal of the first half to start the run. Morgan Cain and Christine Palmeri scored the final two goals of the half with Palmeri capping off the half with a goal with just nine seconds to play.

Hrycko scored twice in the first ten minutes of the second half following a quick goal from the Griffins to open the half. The Scots trailed 10-6 with 20:30 remaining.

Fagan immediately responded with a goal at the 20:04 mark to extend the lead back to 11-6. Rebecca Martin added her second goal of the game with 14:15 left in the game. The Griffins retaliated with two more goals that gave them a 13-7 lead at the 7:54 mark.

Hrycko final goal of the game was also the Scots final goal of the game. The midfielder with 5:24 remaining and Palmeri added had the final goal of the game at 2:31 to make it 14-8.

The four goals was the fourth time Hrycko has reached that feat in her short career. She also added six ground balls in the contest just two short of her career-high.

Martin was the only other Fighting Scot with multiple points. The sophomore finished with two goals and three assists.

Autumn Held played the entire game in net for Edinboro. The sophomore goalkeeper had nine saves.

Fagan matched her season-high with five goals. The Canadian sophomore added two assists to set a new season-high with seven points.

Simmers was the only other player to score a hat trick as she finished with three goals. Renee Kania had six assists in the game.

Meghan Hollar started for the Griffins at goalie and played all 60 minutes and finished with nine saves.

Seton Hill outshot Edinboro 31-19. The Fighting Scots also lost the turnover battle committing 15 turnovers to the Griffins 12.

Edinboro returns to PSAC play on Saturday afternoon against Bloomsburg. That game is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Sox Harrison Stadium.
