GAME NOTES: EdinboroSTORYLINEThe Edinboro women's basketball team travels to Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday for its first game in a week. The Fighting Scots are coming off a 64-59 victory against Clarion last Saturday to snap a two-game losing streak while the Lady Cats have lost three in a row after losing 79-60 at No. 13 Indiana (Pa.) on Wednesday night. Saturday's game figures to be a high-scoring affair. Edinboro is seventh in the PSAC in scoring offense (69.9 ppg.) while UPJ ranks first in scoring offense (78.8 ppg.) but last in scoring defense (80.2 ppg.). The Fighting Scots won both bouts last season by scores of 89-80 at Pitt-Johnstown and 91-80 in Edinboro. The Fighting Scots were picked to finish first in the division in the PSAC Preseason Coaches' Poll while the Lady Cats were picked to finish fifth.

Laurel Lindsay is on the verge becoming the first player in school history with 1,000 career points, 500 career rebounds, and 500 career assists. The graduate student guard/forward would be just the third player in PSAC history to do so. Lindsay needs just 25 rebounds and 44 assists in order to reach that goal.

Valerie Majewski returned for Edinboro after missing the first five games of the season. Since her return, the Fighting Scots are 9-3. Majewski is first for Edinboro in scoring (13.3 ppg.), second in steals (27), and second in assists (35). Edinboro has significantly cut down on its turnovers since Majewski entered the line-up. The Scots are committing 14.6 turnovers per game with the senior guard in the lineup and 20 turnovers per game without her.
• Over the past three seasons the Fighting Scots are 51-1 when leading at halftime, including 33-0 in the last two seasons combined. Edinboro is 0-5 when trailing at halftime this season and the Scots are 10-15 when trailing at halftime since the start of the 2012-13 season.
SCOUTING PITT-JOHNSTOWN• Pitt-Johnstown has lost three straight games, losing its most recent contest 79-60 at No. 13 Indiana (Pa.).
• The Lady Cats have an affinity with high-scoring affairs. They are first in the PSAC in scoring offense (78.8 ppg.) but also lost in scoring defense (80.2 ppg.). UPJ has been involved in five games this season in which both teams scored at least 80 points, including a season-opening loss to Point Park 110-107 in double overtime. Edinboro has not played a single game this season in which both teams reached 80 points.
• Jasmine Harper is the Lady Cats top player. The junior forward/center leads the team in scoring (16.3 ppg.) and rebounding (8.6 rpg.). Harper had three huge games to open the season, scoring at least 27 points in all three games. The Cleveland Heights, Ohio native has struggled as of late, averaging 10.2 ppg. and 5.8 rpg. over the last five contests. She came off the bench in UPJ's last game at the Crimson Hawks.
