GAME NOTES: EdinboroSTORYLINEThe Fighting Scots welcome the Griffins into McComb Fieldhouse on Wednesday night for the second meeting between the two this season. Edinboro has won all 11 meetings in the series. The Scots have defeated Clarion (64-59) and Pitt-Johnstown (86-75) in their last two meetings and are fourth in the PSAC West while Seton Hill lost its last game 81-62 to Gannon and is seventh in the division.
Aignee' Freeland was nearly perfect in the Fighting Scots last game shooting 12-for-13 from the field and scoring a season-high 29 points. Edinboro ranks sixth in the conference in scoring offense (70.8 ppg.) and ninth in scoring defense (63.2 ppg.) while the Griffins are ninth in scoring (66.6 ppg.) and 12th in defense (65.9 ppg.). The Fighting Scots enter the game ranked seventh in the latest D2SIDA Atlantic Regional Poll.

Aignee' Freeland was nearly perfect shooting 12-for-13 from the floor and 5-for-6 at the free throw line to lead Edinboro with a season-high 29 points in a 86-75 victory at Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday. The junior forward/center's impressive performance was just two points shy of her career-high. She scored 31 points at California (Pa.) last season. Freeland also pulled down seven rebounds and dished out five assists. The York, Pa. native has shined in Edinboro's 13 wins this season. In 'Boro victories, Freeland shoots 79-for-139 (56.8 percent) and averages 14.2 ppg. and 8.5 rpg. She has shot 20-for-49 (40.8 percent) in losses while averaging 8.8 ppg. and 4.4 rpg. Freeland is nearing 1,000 career points. Freeland has 914 career points, leaving her 86 points away from reaching that mark.

Maggie Moore has seen a significant increase in playing time this year. The sophomore forward has played in all 18 games this season and is averaging 10.7 mpg. after playing a total of 34 minutes last year. She is averaging 3.2 ppg. and 2.7 rpg. In the Fighting Scots' last game at UPJ, Moore scored a career-high 10 points on 4-for-5 shooting and 2-for-2 at the free throw line.
• The Scots shot 54.1 percent versus Pitt-Johnstown, the fifth time they have shot above 50 percent this season and 17th time in the past three years. Edinboro is undefeated in those 17 games.
SCOUTING SETON HILL• Seton Hill lost its last game 81-62 versus Gannon. The Griffins lost four games in a row earlier this year before winning three of their last five games.
• The Griffins rank ninth in the PSAC in scoring offense (66.6 ppg.) and 12th in scoring defense (65.9 ppg.). Their highest conference rankings come in 3-point field goal percenage in which they shot 35.7 percent and steals as they swipe 11.21 steals per game.
• Chelsea Apke is the Griffins leader in rebounding (9.1 rpg.) and is second in scoring (8.5 ppg.). In the past six games, the Division III Washington & Jefferson transfer has averaged 8.3 ppg. and 10.2 rpg. with three double-doubles. Apke recorded her first double-double this season against Edinboro in the first meeting. She finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
