GAME NOTES: EdinboroSTORYLINEThe Edinboro women's basketball team makes the short trip up I-79 to face Gannon in Erie, Pa. on Saturday night. The Fighting Scots have won nine of the last 10 meetings in this rivalry including handing the Lady Knights all four of their losses last season. Edinboro ended Gannon's season with a 77-69 in the Atlantic Region semifinal in Glenville, W.Va. in the last meeting. The Fighting Scots have won eight straight games entering the weekend after a 74-50 win over Lock Haven on Wednesday, tied for the ninth-longest winning streak in school history. The Lady Knights have won two in a row since a 57-31 loss at Millersville. Each team stands at 8-2 in the PSAC West while Edinboro is 11-3 overall and Gannon is 9-4. Edinboro was picked to finish first in the PSAC West Preseason Coaches' Poll while Gannon was slated to finish second.

The graduate student guard/forward also ranks seventh in career assists (432), eighth in 3-pointers made (109), ninth in 3-pointers attempted (312), and sixth in 3-point percentage (34.9 percent). Lindsay has played in 106 career games, eight games away from entering the top ten in school history for games play. Kerry Connolly holds the school record with 119 games played.

Aignee' Freeland during its current eight-game winning streak. This quintet has averaged 57.9 ppg. during the winning streak and 74.8 percent of the Fighting Scots total points.

Lauren Hippo has scored in double-figures in seven straight games. Over those seven games, Hippo is averaging 16.6 ppg. The junior guard/forward is shooting 24-for-39 (61.5 percent) on 3-pointers during the seven-game stretch. Prior to that she had suffered through a 0-for-10 slump on 3-pointers and 6-for-34 from the field. Since the start of the 2013-14 season the Fighting Scots have posted a 23-1 record when Hippo scores in double figures. They are 15-8 when she does not reach that mark.
SCOUTING GANNON• The Lady Knights have won two in a row against Kutztown (66-58) and Shippensburg (68-57) following a 57-31 loss at Kutztown to open the 2015 calendar year. Gannon ranks near the middle in nearly all statistical categories in the PSAC, ranking eighth in scoring offense (68.2 ppg.) and scoring defense (62.2 ppg.). The Lady Knights rank third in free throw percentage (74.0 percent).
• Preseason All-PSAC West selection Nettie Blake is second for Gannon in scoring (11.9 ppg.) and first in rebounding (10.4 rpg.) The senior center ranks second in the conference in rebounding. Over the last three games, Blake is averaging 10.3 ppg. and 11.0 rpg. while shooting 11-for-28 (39.3 percent) from the floor.
