Box Score (New/Sortable Format) EDINBORO, Pa. (October 3, 2015) - The Edinboro University volleyball team improved 16-2 overall and 5-1 in the PSAC West with a home win over visiting Indiana(Pa.) in McComb Fieldhouse. The Fighting Scots won the first two sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-19 before dropping the third to IUP, 26-24. The Fighting Scots dominated the fourth set by a score of 25-12 to seal the victory.
Indiana now sits at 11-4 overall and 4-2 in PSAC West play. The Crimson Hawks have dropped its second game in a row after winning the previous seven games.
Sophomore
Challen Litwiler led the Fighting Scots with a team-high 17 kills and 17 digs. Junior
Victoria Severo recorded 14 kills and a team high .500 hitting percentage, while also adding four block assist on the defensive side. Senior
Latoya Hutchinson contributed 10 kills and an impressive .348 hitting percentage. Her presence was also felt on the defense, recording a block solo and two block assist. Sophomore
Sydney Trathen totaled 45 assists in the match.
The Fighting Scots get a few days to rest after playing two games in as many days. Edinboro travels to Slippery Rock on Tuesday, October 6 for some more PSAC play at 7 p.m. in Morrow Field House.
