STORYLINEThe PSAC First Round tips-off with fourth-seeded Edinboro (19-7, 16-6 PSAC West) welcoming fifth-seeded Seton Hill (12-16, 8-14 PSAC West) into McComb Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon for the first-ever postseason meeting between the two. The Fighting Scots are seeking their fourth PSAC title in the last five years while the Griffins have made the conference tournament for the second straight year after joining the PSAC last season. Edinboro is also pursuing its 11th 20-win season under head coach
Stan Swank and fifth in a row. The winner of this PSAC First Round game travels to top-seeded Indiana (Pa.) on Tuesday, March 3 for a PSAC Quarterfinals game against the Crimson Hawks who are ranked seventh nationally. Edinboro won both meetings with Seton Hill this season by scores of 68-57 in Seton Hill on November 19 and 86-73 on January 28. The Griffins have lost the 12 previous meetings with the Scots. This also marks the first time under the new PSAC Tournament format that Edinboro has played in a first round game. The Fighting Scots are also fighting for a spot in the NCAA Tournament and cannot afford to lose this game. They are currently 10th in the NCAA Atlantic Regional Rankings. The top eight teams in the region make the NCAA Tournament.

Laurel Lindsay has now played 118 career games for Edinboro. That mark is the second-most all-time in school history. On Saturday, Lindsay will tie Kerry Connolly for the most games played in a Scots uniform at 119 games. The graduate student guard/forward has enjoyed great individual and team success in a Fighting Scots uniform. While ranking in the top 25 in multiple statistics in school history such as career scoring (1,145), rebounding (523), assists (520), Edinboro has compiled a 94-24 overall record with two PSAC titles, an Atlantic Regional title, and Elite Eight appearance during her four years in uniform (missed 2011-12 season due to injury).

Nicole Johnson recorded her first career double-double Wednesday against Pitt-Johnstown. The sophomore forward scored 10 points and pulled down a career-high 13 rebounds. Her previous career-high in rebounds was 11 against Lock Haven on January 7. Earlier this year against Gannon on February 4, Johnson tied her career-high with 12 points including the game-winner against Gannon. Johnson is third for the Fighting Scots in rebounding at 4.4 rpg. while starting 19 games.
• The Fighting Scots are one win away from eaching 20 wins this season. The illustrious mark would be the fifth straight season Edinboro has won 20 games and the 11th under the guidance of head coach
Stan Swank. In total, this would be the Scots 13th season of 20-wins with the other two seasons coming under head coach Judy Sauer.
SCOUTING SETON HILL• Seton Hill won three straight games to begin the month of February but have won just one of its last four games since.
• The Griffins rank ninth in the PSAC in scoring offense (68.1 ppg.) and 12th in scoring defense (67.4 ppg.). Their 10.8 steals per game is the second-best mark in the conference. Entering the week, Seton Hill ranked 26th in the nation in steals.
• Kelly Brennan leads Seton Hill in scoring in large part due to a recent surge. The redshirt junior guard is averaging 10.6 ppg. and has scored 10-or-more points in nine straight contests. She also leads the Griffins with 51 3-pointers made and is shooting 40.8 percent from beyond the arc this year.
