Caitlin Formato's team is now 3-0, while the Hawks fell to 0-7.
The Fighting Scots jumped out to a 7-0 lead less than nine minutes into the match and were never challenged after that, leading 13-4 at the half.
Erin Gordon opened the scoring a mere 14 seconds into the match, with an assist from Ann Purdy. Purdy also assisted on the second goal, as
Cydney Hrycko found the back of the net at 29:16.
Just 30 seconds later, Edinboro's lead was 3-0, with Purdy doing the honors this time, assisted by
Rebecca Martin. At 27:22,
Emily Peters scored off a feed from Martin, then the two reversed roles with Martin scoring on a pass from Peters to make it 5-0 at 25:38.
Stephanie Chido scored a minute later, and Gordon's free position goal gave the Fighting Scots a 7-0 advantage at the 21:37 mark. Chowan finally got on the board on a free position goal by Adriea Herndon six minutes later, and another Hawks' goal cut the Boro lead to 7-2.
After the two teams traded goals, Edinboro scored four straight goals - by
Rachel Olson, Purdy twice, and Peters - before the teams traded goals for the 13-4 Boro lead at the half.
Edinboro would open the second half with the first six goals to make it seven in a row including one to end the half. Six different players scored the goals as Edinboro's lead grew to 19-4 with 13:55 to play.
Twelve different players scored goals for the Fighting Scots. Purdy had 4 goals and 3 assists, while Peters had 4 goals and an assist. Martin contributed 2 goals and 7 assists. Gordon also scored twice.
Paige Skinner started in goal and allowed just one goal in 14 minutes, 55 seconds.
Mackenzie Waterston came in at that point and finished up the game to pick up her first career win in goal.
Edinboro held a 33-10 lead in shots. In addition, the Fighting Scots had 20 draw controls to just 3 for the Hawks. Hrycko had 7 draw controls and
Hannah Fitzgerald 5. Chowan had 16 turnovers compared to 13 for Edinboro.
The Fighting Scots wrap up their four-game southern trip on Sunday, March 13 playing at Shepherd. The match gets underway at 1 p.m.
