EDINBORO, Pa. – The Edinboro University women's lacrosse closes out a three-game stretch against nationally-ranked PSAC foes on Tuesday when they host seventh-ranked Mercyhurst at 4:00 p.m. at Sox Harrison Stadium. The Fighting Scots, who have split their first two contests in this tough stretch, stand at 5-3 overall and 1-3 in the PSAC. The local-rival Lakers come to Edinboro at 7-1 and 4-0, respectively.
The Fighting Scots, led by first-year head coach
Caitlin Formato, earned their first-ever win over a ranked opponent and initial PSAC win with a 15-13 win at No. 18 Seton Hill on March 23. They then hosted sixth-ranked Lock Haven on Friday, falling to the Bald Eagles by a 15-7 decision. Edinboro looks for its first-ever win against the Lakers, with Mercyhurst winning the first eight meetings since the Boro's inception to women's lacrosse in 2009.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Paige Skinner leads the PSAC in save percentage (.562) and saves per game (9.63). The Jamesville, N.Y. native is 4-3 on the year and has recorded two 17-save matches this season, which is tied for second all-time in a contest.

Rebecca Martin is first on the team and sixth in the conference in scoring with 37 points on 14 goals and 23 assists (fourth in PSAC). Senior attacker

Cydney Hrycko leads the team with 25 goals (tied for seventh in PSAC).
The Lakers, ranked seventh in the nation in the latest IWLCA poll, come to Edinboro riding a six-match winning streak. After their lone loss against second-ranked Le Moyne on February 28, Mercyhurst has remained unbeaten in the month of March, with their last four victories coming against PSAC opponents. Mercyhurst's conference season began with back-to-back overtime wins over Seton Hill (12-11, 4OT) and West Chester (9-8, 2OT), followed by victories over Gannon and Kutztown by a combined score of 35-16.
Senior attacker Emily Gebhardt leads the team in scoring with 27 points on 16 goals and 11 assists. Sophomore midfielder Kristin Anderson is second with 26 points and is tied with Carly Zimmerman and Janelle Williams for the team lead in goals with 19. Junior goalie Gabby Gravino is 4-2 on the year with five starts, owning a .439 save percentage.
