McNally, Wolf Lead Fighting Scots to 55-40 Win over Auburn in NIWBT

Box Score (New/Sortable Format) MARSHALL, Minn. – The Edinboro wheelchair basketball team posted a 55-40 win over Auburn on day two of the 41^st National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) Intercollegiate Tournament on Friday morning. The Fighting Scots, the fifth seed, improved to 18-17 with the win over the Tigers. They will play the winner of the Southwest Minnesota State-Illinois game later today at 7 p.m.

After failing to make a 3-pointer in eight attempts in Thursday's loss to Missouri, the Fighting Scots took full advantage of the three on Friday. Edinboro made six in the game.

The Fighting Scots held a narrow 22-20 lead at the half, but broke the game open with an 18-3 burst to start the second half. Chayse Wolf contributed eight points and CorRales Dupree six in the run.

Seamus McNally led Edinboro with 19 points, making 8-of-17 field goals, including 3-of-8 threes' Wolfe turned in an outstanding all-around effort, totaling 16 points, 11 assists, and six rebounds. He made 3-of-7 three's. Dupree added 11 points and Kevin Atherley had seven points and 14 rebounds.

Edinboro made 8-of-28 shots in the first half, but warmed up considerably in the second half, shooting 56.5 percent from the floor (13-of-23) to finish at 41.2 percent. They made 6-of-15 3-pointers and went 7-of-11 from the line. Auburn went 18-of-52 from the floor (34.6 pct.), making 1-of-7 3's and 3-of-11 free throws. Edinboro held a 37-28 advantage on the boards.
