However, head coach Jim Glatch's squad lost a pair of games to the teams from Alabama, suffering a 52-40 loss to host Auburn, followed by a 64-49 setback to Alabama. The Fighting Scots are now 13-7. They will take the court again on Saturday, facing Auburn once again.

Here's a look at Edinboro's three games on Friday:

Back came the Illini, outscoring the Scots, 10-2, to regain the lead at 44-42 with just under ten minutes remaining. Edinboro would grab the lead for good on Spillers' layup with 6:06 left for a 48-46 advantage. The Fighting Scots would end the game on a 14-2 run after trailing by two points.

Jacob Spillers accounted for over half of Edinboro's points as the freshman made 11-of-20 field goals, including 3-of-7 3-pointers, to finish with 25 points. Chayse Wolf was next with six points and five assists. Cor'Rales Dupree had a team-high six rebounds.
