Wolf Enjoys Big Day as Fighting Scots Fall to Arizona, Missouri at Missouri Tournament

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Edinboro wheelchair basketball team fell to 5-6 on the season after suffering a pair of losses in the first day of competition at the Missouri Tournament on Friday. The Fighting Scots dropped a 73-35 decision to Arizona in their first contest, then lost to host Missouri, 65-28. They will twice on Saturday, facing Southwest Minnesota State, followed by a rematch with Arizona.

ARIZONA 73, EDINBORO 35
The Wildcats scored the first ten points of the game, forcing Edinboro to play catch up the rest of the way. Arizona led 35-21 at the half while shooting 58.6 percent from the floor (17-of-29). They would finish at 55.6 percent (35-of-63). Edinboro, meanwhile, shot 32.0 percent (16-of-50). Arizona also held a 39-21 rebounding edge. Chayse Wolf accounted for almost all of Edinboro's offense, finishing with 20 points. He made 9-of-18 field goals, with a 3-pointer, and going 1-of-2 at the line. He added seven rebounds and five assists. Josiah Knight contributed eight points and six rebounds.

MISSOURI 65, EDINBORO 28
A rough shooting game once again did in the Fighting Scots. They came in at 26.1 percent (12-of-46), while Missouri shot an even 50.0 percent (29-of-58). The Tigers held a 35-24 edge on the glass. Wolf again paced the Scots with 12 points and six rebounds. Josiah Knight and Will Speed had seven points apiece, while Robert Baez pulled down six rebounds. Missouri's Colin Higgins fell just shy of a triple-double with 28 points, 17 rebounds, and eight assists.
