Edinboro to Host 2019 Boro Intercollegiate Tournament on Friday, Saturday

EDINBORO, Pa. – The Edinboro wheelchair basketball team will host the 2019 Boro Intercollegiate Tournament on Friday, February 22 and Saturday, February 23. The two-day tournament will take place in Crawford Gymnasium.

A total of seven teams will participate in the tournament, including Auburn, Illinois (men's & women's teams), Missouri, and Wisconsin-Whitewater (men's & women's teams). Edinboro will get the action underway at 9 a.m. on Friday, hosting the Wisconsin-Whitewater men. The Fighting Scots will then wrap up the day's contests when they take the court at 7:30 p.m. to face Auburn.

The first game is also set for 9 a.m. on Saturday, with Auburn playing the Wisconsin-Whitewater men. Edinboro follows with a 10:45 a.m. contest against Missouri. The Fighting Scots will play the final game f the day at 4 p.m. against the Illinois men.

Head coach Jim Glatch's team comes in with a 13-11 record. The Fighting showcase a trio of double-figure scorers in Kevin Athlerley, Chase Wolf, and Jacob Spillers. Atherley averages close to a double-double with 12.6 ppg. and a team-high 9.5 rpg. The senior has scored 1,200 career points and pulled down 1,064 career rebounds. He has nine double-doubles this season.

Wolf looks to join Atherley as a 1,000-point scorer this weekend. The junior enters with 987 career points, 13 shy of the mark. He is averaging 12.2 ppg. and 6.6 rpg.

Just a freshman, Spillers checks in as Edinboro's leading scorer at 12.8 ppg.
