THE GAME STORIES
  • Edinboro has not only clinched a spot in the PSAC Tournament for the 11th straight year, but Saturday's 75-59 win over Mercyhurst ensured a first round home playoff game on Monday, March 2. Edinboro has won eight of its last ten games to improve to 15-9 overall and 13-7 in the PSAC West. The Fighting Scots are tied with Cal for third place in the PSAC West, but hold the tiebreaker thanks to a sweep of the two regular season meetings. Slippery Rock comes off an 87-50 loss at Gannon on Saturday, snapping a two-game winning streak. That leaves SRU at 8-18 overall and 6-14 in the PSAC West. The Rock is still battling Mercyhurst (7-13) and Seton Hill (7-13) for the lone remaining spot in the Western Division playoff field. SRU finds itself a game behind Mercyhurst and Seton Hill with two to play.
