Edinboro Hosts Day One of Edinboro Open

EDINBORO, Pa. – The Edinboro wheelchair basketball team hosted a pair of games on the first day of the Edinboro Open. The Fighting Scots dropped a 69-27 decision to Wisconsin-Whitewater in the morning, then fell to Illinois, 74-20, in the afternoon.
The Fighting Scots are now 5-23 on the season. The will play two more contests on Saturday, hosting Missouri at 8:00 a.m., followed by Illinois at 1:15 p.m.

WISCONSIN-WHITEWATER 67, EDINBORO 29
UWW would open up a 13-point halftime lead at 32-19, and the Fighting Scots were unable to mount a comeback in the second half due to cold shooting. Chayse Wolf proved to be the only Fighting Scot able to get untracked offensively, making 6-of-14 shots and 2-of-4 free throws to end the contest with 15 points. He would add 16 rebounds, Stephanie Glatch added four points.

ILLINOIS 74, EDINBORO 20
Edinboro's offensive struggles would continue as the Fighting Scots shot 25.6 percent from the floor (10-of-39) and committed 17 turnovers. Stephanie Glatch led Edinboro with eight points. The Illini defense harassed leading scorer Chayse Wolf, limiting him to six points. Josiah Knight added four points.
