After beginning the 2020 season at 2-2, the Fighting Scots were not able to finish a season that was filled with great promise. Despite this, the team returns some key veterans who are surely ready for their first sanctioned games in over a year. The team features eight total seniors, most of whom have a great deal of experience. Edinboro returns their second leading goal scorer, Sophie Depalma, who found the back of the net nine times in just four games last season. They also return captain
Gionna Alessandro who scored four goals of her own last season. On the defensive side, the program returns
Kandyce Graham and
Abigail Juzwick who have both played in at least thirty games in their college careers.
First year head coach
Jalen Middlebrooks had this to say about her players and the opportunity to get back to the sport they love. "This team finally gets the chance to play this season and we could not be more excited. They have been through a lot of adversity this year, but they have refused to give up. That is something I will always admire about this years team."
As of now, the team is slated to play thirteen total games, twelve of which will be against PSAC opponents. The teams first four games to begin the season are scheduled to take place at home over nine days time. Slippery Rock comes into Tuesday's tilt with a 1-3 overall record and and 0-3 record in the PSAC. As for Lock Haven, the Bald Eagles are 1-1 on the season with an identical record in conference.
