Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro women's basketball team returns to McComb Fieldhouse on Wednesday night against Mercyhurst at 5:30 p.m.
 
The Matchup
Edinboro brings a 6-4 overall mark and 4-3 record in PSAC play while the Lakers are 6-9 overall and 4-5 league play.

The Fighting Scots dropped a 70-59 decision to Pitt-Johnstown Monday afternoon. Gillian Fisher paced the Scots with a career-high 22 points including six 3-point baskets. Bella Burrelli pulled down 10 boards her fourth straight double-figure rebounding game.

Three different Edinboro players are averaging double figure scoring led by freshman Haley Sims at 15.0 points per game. Gillian Fisher checks in with 11.6 while Rana Elhusseini adds 10.2 per contest.
 
Honor Roll
Rana Elhusseini and Bella Burrelli swept the PSAC West Athlete of the Week Awards. Elhusseini and her 24 points, seven rebounds and five steals earned Athlete of the Week honors. Burrelli keyed a defensive effort that held the conferences third leading scorer eight points below her season average and scoreless in the second half while pulling down 10 rebounds to earn Defensive Player of the Week honors.
 
Scouting the Lakers
Mercyhurst averages 62.3 points per game while allowing 63.1. Grace Centrulla leads the Lakers with 16.1 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. Jayde Boyd adds 10.8 points and 6.7 boards per game. Nicolette Arnold  averages 11.5 points in a pair of games off the bench.
