Wheelchair Basketball Wins Pair to Close Out Boro Shootout

Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro wheelchair basketball team won a pair of games on Sunday to run their record to 4-1 after the opening weekend of the 2022-23 season at the Boro Shootout.

The Scots started the day off with a 44-33 victory over the Orlando Magic Wheels. Jeremy Evans continued his hot start to the season going for 26 points and eight rebounds to pace the Scot attack. Jeffrey Kurtz and Isaiah Johnson each chipped in eight points.

The Edinboro defense stimied the University of Michigan allowing just eight first half points as the Scots topped the Wolverines 50-34 in the finale.

Evans led Edinboro with 14 points. Johnson just missed a double-double going for a game-high 14 rebounds to go along with eight points. Dakari Moore also reached double-figure scoring with 10 points to go along with five rebounds.

The Scots are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Oakland University to take on the University of Michigan for a pair of games.
