Morgantown, W.Va. – A trio of Scots posted NCAA provisional times as they competed at Walsh and West Virginia this past weekend.
At the Mountaineer Twilight Open,
Ward Ries improved his 3K steeplechase time to 8:55 .68 giving him the 13
th best time in Division II.
Kimberly Goerss also turned in an NCAA provisional time in the steeplechase with a time of 10:47.79 ranking 24
th in D-II.
Kylie Anicic posted the 25
th best mark in the nation in the 5K with an NCAA provisional mark of 16:39.84.
Matt Wehrle improved on his PSAC time in the 800-meter running a 1:53.22 at the Mountaineer Twilight Open.
Danny Desmond also posted a season best in the 5K with a time of 14:57.96.
Nick Amos ran the 5K as well posting a time of 15:32.76. Connor Volk-Klos ran the 1,500-meter in a time of 3:59.21.
A pair of Scots threw the javelin at the Mountaineer Twilight with
Trae Smith posting a distance of 54.34 meters and
Will Rodgers logging a throw of 50.43 meters.
Edinboro also had two athletes run the 10K at the Walsh Invitational and both turned in PSAC qualifying times.
Jack Lacina crossed the line in a time 32:33.79 while
Eric Alu came in just behind him with a time of 32:34.28.
The Fighting Scots will have one more tune up before the PSAC Championships when they travel to Penn State next weekend.
