Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro women's basketball team comes home to McComb Fieldhouse to host Seton Hill at 1 p.m.
Last Time Out
The Fighting Scots fell 69-59 to host California (Pa.) Wednesday night dropping to 8-5 overall and 5-3 in the PSAC West.
Hayley Sims scored a game-high 28 points.
Bella Burrelli just missed a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds.
Honor Roll
Elhusseini was named the PSAC West Athlete of the Week as the Scots went 2-1 in PSAC play. She averaged 25.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game over three PSAC games. She also averaged 3.0 assists and 2.6 steals per outing. Her 33 points on Saturday against Shippensburg set a career-high. Her 19.8 points per game ranks 16th in the country and second in the PSAC and is the best mark in the West.
Forcing Turnovers
Edinboro ranks second in Division II forcing 27.9 turnovers per game behind only Glenville State at 29.8. The Scots are fourth in nation in steals at 14.5 per contest. Elhusseini currently ranks seventh in the nation and atop the PSAC in steals per game at 3.15. Edinboro ranks third in the country in turnover margin with a +10.7.
Beyond the Arc
The Scots are one of the nations most prolific 3-point shooting teams. Edinboro attempts 29.7 triples per game ranking fifth in the nation and hit an average of 9.4 per contest which ranks eighth in D-II. Elhusseini is 13th in the country in 3-pointers per game at 2.9 per contest. Sims ranks 49
th in the country at 2.46 per outing.
Scouting the Griffins
Seton Hill ran its record to 11-6 overall and 4-4 in PSAC West play after defeating Slippery Rock 76-58 Wednesday night.
Seton Hill averages 67.5 points per game while holding opponents 58.4 points per outing. The Griffins outrebound opponents by 3.8 per game.
Frye leads the Griffin offense averaging 14.0 points per game. Alie Seto also averages double-figure scoring at 12. 3 per game. Seto is also the Griffins leading rebounder at 6.4 per game.
