Slippery Rock, Pa. – The Edinboro women's basketball team returns to PSAC West action with a trip to Slippery Rock Wednesday. Tip off is slated for 5:30 p.m.
Last Time Out
The Fighting Scots dropped an 83-77 decision to visiting Seton Hill nearly completing a 21-point comeback in the fourth quarter. Hayley Sims led the Scots in scoring with 18 points. Rana Elhusseini scored a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Lauren Mullen and Bella Burrelli each tallied 10 points.
Turnovers
Edinboro is third in the nation in forced turnovers at 27.1 per game. The Scots are sixth in the country in turnover margin at +9.86. Both of those marks lead the PSAC. Their 14.0 steals per game ranks first in the PSAC and fifth in the country. Elhusseini ranks 19th in the nation in steals per game with 2.93 per outing.
Beyond the Arc
The Scots rank ninth in D-II in three pointers per game with 9.4 while ranking fifth in 3-pointers attempted at 29.4. Elhusseini ranks 21st in the nation with 2.79 triples per game while Sims ranks 34th with 2.57.
Scoring the Basketball
Edinboro leads the PSAC with 76.8 points per game a mark that ranks 19th in the nation. The Scots boast two of the PSAC's top 10 scorers. Elhusseini leads the Scots with 18.6 points per game the third best mark in the conference while Sims checks in at sixth with 16.9.
Scouting the Rock
The Rock is 9-6 overall and 4-5 in the PSAC West after a 60-58 victory over Mercyhurst Saturday. Slippery Rock averages 65.3 points per game while giving up 66.6.
Isabellah Middleton leads the Rock with 18.0 points per game to go with 8.2 rebounds. Deleah Gibson chips in 15.1 per game and Kennedy Middleton is just shy of a season double-double at 13.4 and 9.1 rebounds per game.
