New York -- The Edinboro wheelchair basketball team went 2-2 over the weekend competing at the City University of New York Friday and Saturday.
In the opener, the Scots claimed a 65-39 victory over Eastern Washington. Three Edinboro players scored in double figures led by 25 points from
Jeremy Evans. He also added six assists, three rebounds and two blocks. Â
Isaiah Johnson added 14 points, nine helpers and five boards. Dakari Moore chipped in 12 points and nine rebounds.
Edinboro dropped the second game Friday to host CUNYÂ 55-39. Evans led the way for the Fighting Scots with 15 points and eight rebounds. Moore tallied eight points and six boards.
On Saturday, Edinboro defeated Eastern Washington clamping down on defernse with a 54-27 final score. Evans just missed a triple double going for 20 pionts, 13 rebounds and eight assists. Johnson tallied 10 points, eight boards and eight helpers.
William Oberg notched 12 points and five rebounds.
In the finale, the Scots fell 57-35 to the host. Johnson was Edinboro's leading scorer with eight points to go with five rebounds. Moore added six points and 11 boards.Â
The Scots are back in action on Feb. 10 when they travel to Illinois.
