Erie, Pa. – Edinboro's women travel to The Saints of D'Youville College to begin their season. This is the first of four away games in 10 days for the Fighting Scots who look to hit the ground running to the start the season.
The trip to D'Youville marks the first official game of the season since the 2022 season ended. Head Coach
Anthony Turini has added nine new players to the squad who will be looking to contribute to the team's efforts. The team sees eight players return from last year who will be looking to build on their performances from last season.
"I'm excited to be bringing in a big group of players with a mix of Freshmen and transfers which we hope will be able to contribute right away," said Head Coach
Anthony Turini when looking ahead to the new season. "We will be a young team but have improved a lot in our athleticism. This will help to create more scoring opportunities this season and be better in our transition and then help to be quicker in the defensive transition."
Lexi Boyk returns as Edinboro's second top goal-scorer and assist maker from last season. Boyk netted six goals and two assists in 15 total games.
Traci Culver also return's after scoring five goals in 2022, including one assist. Culver played in 17 games and was starter in all but one game.
Abigail Juzwick is welcomed back after leading the outfield players in both ground balls and caused turnovers. Juzwick totaled 39 groundballs and 24 caused turnovers, playing and starting in all 17 games.

Natalia Corrales,
Savannah Fischer,
Morgan King,
Lizzy Stokes, and
Kate Crissman.
Adding to the squad in midfield is
Rylee Jones who will help both in attack and defense.
Caroline Zentis also plays midfield who was a local standout at Fairview High School.
Emma Lamica,
Kenna Sinisgalli,
Ysobel Cathart and
Danielle Courtot all look to add firepower to the Fighting Scots attack.
Ellie Marak can play both attack and defense adding versatility to the squad.
Haylee Wilson joins the defense of the team, similarly to fellow teammates Natalia and Lexi, Haylee is now a dual sport athlete after playing in the fall for the Edinboro soccer team.
The Fighting Scots season ramps up as they travel to North Carolina to play the University of the District of Columbia on Saturday, Mar. 4, then they face Chowan University on Tuesday, Mar. 7. Edinboro's first home game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 5. at Sox Harrison Stadium against Seton Hill at 4 p.m.
