Edinboro, Pa. – The Fighting Scots prepare for a PSAC matchup with the Golden Knights of Gannon University on Saturday afternoon.
Edinboro will be hoping the conditions don't play a factor this time round. On Wednesday the Scots matchup with Mercyhurst was cut short just two minutes into the final quarter.
Mercyhurst were in the lead thanks to a strong first half. As conditions began to worsen at the start of the second half, goals became harder to come by. The officials decided the field was unplayable due to the snowfall on the field and the final score was 1-14 to Mercyhurst.
Savannah Fischer recorded eleven saves in goal for the Scots taking her tally to 58 for the season.
Rylee Jones added to her tally for the season against the Lakers, making it 23 goals for the season.
The Golden Knights enter the match 1-8 overall, 1-3 in the PSAC. Their win on the season came against Lock Haven University, winning 14-13 on the day.
Most recently for Gannon, they were on losing side of a 13-3 result to Slippery Rock. McKenna Woolworth netted her 18th goal of the season in the defeat.
Caroline Stevens, Macy Hepditch, and Alli Jacobs are all in double figures for the season in goal scoring.
Next up for Edinboro is an away trip to Slippery Rock on April 5th, before returning to Sox Harrison on April 8th against Seton Hill.
