Edinboro, Pa. – The Fighting Scots welcome IUP to Edinboro on Saturday afternoon in PSAC action. Edinboro are looking to get off the mark in the PSAC, whilst their opponents are unbeaten in their last two games.

Edinboro have had a week to prepare since their last match against Seton Hill thanks to a bye-week. Seton Hill were the winners in 21-4 result at Sox Harrison last Saturday.

Rylee Jones scored three times to take her tally for the season to 30. Jones also has 10 assists taking her points total to 40.

Emma Lamica continued her strong first season for Edinboro adding a solo goal, bringing her total to 11 goals, placing her third in the points table.

Savannah Fischer had another nine saves in the game, facing 36 shots in the game. Fischer now has 79 saves for the season.

Edinboro had 10 efforts in the game, their strongest quarter coming in the fourth. The Fighting Scots were one behind the Griffins in groundballs with 12, with Abigail Juzwick grabbing four in the game, tallying 34 for the season.

The visiting Crimson Hawks enter the game 9-4 (7-1 PSAC) on the season.

Their last matchup saw them overcome Mercyhurst 14-12. IUP had to rally from behind as they fell behind early to a Lakers surge with four unanswered goals from the start.

The match was level going into the third at 6-6. IUP never lead in the game until the fourth quarter which saw them score four goals without reply to take the victory with four minutes remaining.

Macenzie Haragos, Leah Moyer, and Brenna Whiteside each had three goals in the game. Kathryn Burke lead in assists with three.

Sarah Reustle leads IUP in goals with 29, closely followed by Kathryn Burke with 28, and Leah Moyer with 25.

Up next for Edinboro is Mercyhurst in Erie, Pa. The match is scheduled for 4 p.m. start on April 18.
