Edinboro, Pa. – The Fighting Scots travel to Mercyhurst on Tuesday afternoon for their penultimate away fixture of the season.
Edinboro registered two goal in their last match thanks to
Emma Lamica and
Caroline Zentis. Edinboro created nine attempts at goal with six finding the target, with IUP's goalkeeper saving four.
Edinboro currently average 15 shots per game and will be hoping to make more of their attempts count against the Lakers.
The last match with Mercyhurst went the way of the visitors, 14-1.
Rylee Jones was on the scoresheet, with Edinboro having eight attempts in the game.
Rachel Plumley, Victoria Gottorff, and Ellie Schau each had two goals for the Lakers with Plumley also adding two assists.
Mercyhurst are now 5-7 overall and 3-5 in the PSAC, losing out in their most recent match to IUP, 12-14.
Maggie Newton leads Mercyhurst in scoring with 23 goals and 10 assists for 33 points on the season. Victoria Gottorff leads in assists with 12 also adding 18 goals to her name.
