Edinboro, Pa. – The Fighting Scots welcome Slippery Rock to Sox Harrison Stadium on Wednesday afternoon for their final home matchup of the season.
Edinboro put up a spirited fight in their last match against Lock Haven. At the half Edinboro trailed by four goals after mounting a comeback in the second quarter.
Rylee Jones netted four goals in the game taking her tally to 35 goals, alongside 14 assists.
Traci Culver had a trio of goals, including a long-range effort that put Edinboro to within three at the start of the second half. Culver now has 11 goals and three assists.
Caroline Zentis also added a solo effort, taking her to 16 goals for the season.
Savannah Fischer had nine saves, totaling 100 saves for the season.
Slippery Rock enter the game off the back of an 8-20 loss to IUP.
The Rock are 9-6 on the season, 5-5 in the PSAC. Most recently beating Gannon at their home field.
Lauren Searles leads the team in scoring with 35 goals, with eight assists.
Brooke Wisniewski has also contributed with 28 goals, adding three assists.
Charleigh Rondeau is the leading assist maker for the Rock with 14 and an impressive 18 goals to go alongside them.
Up next for Edinboro in the final game of the season is an away trip to Gannon University. The game is scheduled for 5 p.m. start on Apr. 29.
