Greensburg, Pa. – The Edinboro women's volleyball team begins PSAC West play on Tuesday with a trip to Seton Hill. Start time is set for 7 p.m.
Last Time Out
The Fighting Scots split a pair of PSAC crossover matches over the weekend falling to Bloomsburg 3-0 on Friday and defeating Kutztown 3-1 on Saturday.
Natalie Pallone picked up 23 kills with a .487 hitting percentage while also recording seven blocks.
Jessica Hardin also recorded 23 kills in the two games including a game-high 15 against Kutztown on Saturday.
Abigale Soboleski led the Scots with 44 assists and
Carly Pry had a team-high 30 digs.
Climbing the Record Books
Bella Burrelli recorded her 1,000
th career kill in the opening weekend of the season making her the 16
th Fighting Scot to ever reach that plateau. She currently has 1,053 kills ranking 12
th in school history. She is 36 kills from moving into 11
th and 77 kills from entering the top 10.
Offensive Leaders
Makayla Neelands has led the Fighting Scots offense with 69 total kills and 2.88 kills per set. Pallone adds 66 kills while Burrelli has chipped in 63.
Abigale Soboleski has a team-leading 160 assists and
Laney Burns has tallied 131 helpers.
Defensive Efforts
Carly Pry leads the Scots defensive efforts with 125 digs. Burrelli ranks second on the Scots with 97 digs.
Kasey Smith has tallied 30 blocks to lead the Fighting Scots while Pallone and
Erika Lindqvist have each picked up 28 blocks.
Scouting the Griffins
Seton Hill is 6-6 in non-conference action entering the PSAC West opener after posting a 4-0 record at the West Virginia Wesleyan Invitational last weekend.
Paige Cole leads the team in kills with 171. Catie Flohr ranks second on the team with 91. Abby Oesterling leads the team with 271 helpers and Kate Eden adds 93.
On the defensive side, Cole leads the team with 119 digs. Kendyl Wagner adds 96 and Oesterling has 92. Flohr is the team leader in blocks with 21.
