Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro women's volleyball team is back in action on Saturday when they host Pitt-Johnstown at 4 p.m. inside McComb Fieldhouse.
Last Time Out
The Fighting Scots earned a 3-1 victory over Seton Hill on Wednesday in their PSAC West opener.
Carly Pry tallied 12 digs and, in the process, became the 16th Fighting Scot to reach 1,000 career digs.
Natalie Pallone and
Kasey Smith each tallied six block assists. Bella Burelli led all attackers with 21kills. Abigale Solbeleski and
Laney Burns each finished with 25 assists.
Offensive Leaders
Burrelli leads the Fighting Scots with 84 kills. Pallone currently ranks second on the team with 78 kills while
Makayla Neelands adds 69.Â
Soboliski leads the Scots in kills with 185 assists while Burns has tallied 156 helpers.
Defensive Numbers
Edinboro ranks ninth in Division II in blocks per set with 2.54.
Kasey Smith leads the team in blocks with 36. Pallone has tallied 34 and Erika Linqvist adds 32.
Pry is the team leader in digs with 137. Burrelli has notched 113 digs.
Scouting the Mountain Cats
Pitt-Johnstown in now 9-2 overall as they open PSAC West play on Friday. The Mountain Cats are coming off a 3-1 win over West Liberty.
Mallory Pinske leads the offense with 85 kills followed closely by Brooke Pelloni at 83 kills. Natalie Lippincot has tallied 79 kills. Adiamar Beaz triggers the offense dishing out 381 assists on the season.
Defensively, Gaby DeRenzo leads the team with 223 digs. Beaz adds 114 digs. Pinske leads the Mountain Cats with 19 blocks.
