Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro women's basketball team will host a pair of PSAC West games this week against Mercyhurst and IUP.
The Games
The Scots host Mercyhurst on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. inside McComb Fieldhouse and then will play host to IUP at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Last Time Out
The Scots are coming off an 80-51 victory on the road at UPJ on Saturday.
Morgan Gentile led all scorers with 22 points to go with six rebounds, three assists and two steals. Gentile finished the game 8-of-9 from the field and 6-of-6 at the line.
Hayley Sims added 21 points, five rebounds, three helpers and a block.
Gillian Fisher also scored in double figures with 10 points, just missing a double-double with nine rebounds as well as four steals.
Playoff Push
Edinboro is currently tied for fourth in the PSAC West with an 11-6 conference record. The Scots are tied with California (Pa.) and just a half game back of the Lakers who are 11-5. IUP is currently second in the West at 12-4. Seton Hill holds the final playoff spot with a 10-7 record and UPJ at 9-8 is currently in seventh.

Sims is the Scots leading scorer averaging 17.1 points per game ranking fifth in the PSAC. Gentile is also a top-15 scorer ranking 13
th in the league at 15.2 points per outing. Gentile also leads Edinboro with 2.7 assists per contest. Fisher is the Scots leading rebounder pulling down 5.7 boards per game.

The Scots average 70.0 points per game while allowing 66.7. They are shooting 42.2 percent from the field, 31.0 percent from beyond the arc and 75.4 percent from the free throw line. They have +2.5 turnover margin and are a -1.9 on the boards.
Scouting the Lakers
Mercyhurst has a record of 15-7 overall and 11-5 in PSAC play after knocking off IUP 66-63 last Wednesday. Bailey Kuhns led the way with 17 points and nine rebounds. Danielle Grim and Grace Clarion each tallied 11 points. Paige Woodford finished with 10.
The Lakers average 63.5 points per game while allowing 58.2. Mercyhurst shoots 41.7 percent from the field. The Lakers are -2.3 on the glass and have a +1.5 turnover margin. Kuhns leads the offense with 14.8 points per game. Grim adds 12.0 points and a team-leading 7.5 rebounds per contest.
Scouting the Crimson Hawks
IUP is currently 16-5 overall and 12-4 in PSAC West play after knocking off Gannon 53-52 on Saturday. The Crimson Hawks will play Pitt-Johnstown on Wednesday.
The Crimson Hawks average 70.1 points while holding opponents to 56.7. IUP has a +2.9 turnover margin and are a +5.5 on the glass. Rahmena Henderson leads the offense with 15.8 points per game. Nyshae' Weaver posts a team-leading 9.0 rebounds per game to go with 10.6 points. Teirra Preston averages 10.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per contest.
