Women’s Basketball Closes Out Regular Season with Pair of PSAC West Games

Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro women's basketball team finishes out the regular season with two PSAC Wests contest this week.
 
The Games
Edinboro travels to Slippery Rock on Wednesday for a 5:30 p.m. tip against the Rock. Then the Scots return home for a Senior Day showdown with California (PA) at 1 p.m.
 
Last Time Out
The Scots clinched a playoff berth on Saturday with a 71-68 victory over Seton Hill. Morgan Gentile led the Edinboro offense with 23 points, including the Scots final eight points, as well as six assists and six rebounds. Gillian Fisher added a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
 
Postseason Outlook
The Scots have clinched a spot in the PSAC postseason and currently sit fourth in the PSAC West one game behind Cal and one game ahead of Mercyhurst. Edinboro needs one win to secure a home playoff game in the PSAC opening round.

Scouting the Vulcans
Cal is currently 19-7 overall and 14-6 in PSAC play after a 65-56 win over Mercyhurst on Saturday. The Vulcans are hosting IUP on Wednesday.
 
On the year, Cal averages 66.3 points per contest while allowing 60.1. The Vulcans hold a +5.5 advantage on the glass and are a +2.5 in turnover margin. Dejah Terrell is the Vulcans leading scorer at 15.2 points per game. She is also the leading rebounder at 8.6 boards per contest. Allycia Harris adds 9.3 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.
