Lacrosse Set for Pair of Home Contests

Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro women's lacrosse team continues at home as they play host to a pair of games at Sox Harrison Stadium this week.
 
The Games
The Scots will take on Malone in a non-conference clash on Tuesday at 4 p.m. and then will play host to Lock Haven on Saturday at 1 p.m. in PSAC West action.
 
Last Time Out
Edinboro dropped a 17-5 decision to IUP on Saturday afternoon. Rylee Jones scored a pair of goals while Jacqui Detelich added a goal and an assist to pace the Edinboro offense. Addy Ours notched a career-high 20 saves while taking the loss in net.
 
By the Numbers
The Scots average 7.5 goals per game while allowing 13.2. The Scots average 18.2 shots per game putting 76.1 percent of those shots on net.
 
Statistical Leaders
Jones leads the Scot offense with 18 points on 10 goals and eight assists. Detelich leads the team in goal scoring with 11 to go with four helpers for 15 points. Traci Culver adds 13 points on eight goals and five assists.
 
Jones also leads the team in ground balls with 23 and caused turnovers with 18. Lexi Boyk has caused 15 turnovers and scooped up 16 ground balls. Addy Ours has posted a .397 save percentage and 12.90 goals against average.
 
Scouting the Pioneers
Malone is now 2-5 overall after dropping their conference opener to Lake Erie 16-3 on Saturday. Abbey Burns led the offense with a pair of goals on four shots. Sommer-Jo Grieser made 13 saves and took the loss in net.
 
The Pioneer offense averages 6.0 goals per game and 16.3 shots per contest. Burns leads the offense with 22 points on 19 goals and three assists. Emma Weintz adds eight goals and two helpers for 10 points. Grieser has started all seven games in net posting a .399 save percentage and a 15.36 goals against average.
 
Scouting the Bald Eagles
Lock Haven is 7-0 entering play this week after scoring a 19-16 victory over Gannon on Saturday. The Bald Eagles will host Slippery Rock on Wednesday.
 
On the season, Lock Haven is averaging 13.6 goals per game and 29.9 shots per outing. Gabby Gunnip leads the team with 36 points on 27 goals and nine assists. Emma Wiliams has a team-high 14 helpers to go with 12 goals for 26 points. Dana Mirgliano has started all seven game in the cage posting a 10.29 goals against average and .429 save percentage.
