Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro wheelchair basketball team completed a 3-0 weekend with a dominant 86-37 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelwheelers on Saturday.
The Scots defense put the clamps on Pittsburgh right out of the gate holding the Steelwheelers to just three points in the first quarter. The Scot offense put up 16 points in the opening frame.
In the second, Edinboro extended their lead outscoring the Steelwheelers 20-9 to push the advantage to 36-12 at the break.
The Scots scored 25 points in each of the third and fourth quarters to earn the 86-37 win.
James Pollard paced the Scot offense with 32 points on 15-of-17 shooting from the field. He also tallied 11 assists and seven rebounds.
Jeremy Evans added 22 points going 10-of-14 from the field. He also notched eight boards and four assists.
Knoah Knowlden was the third Edinboro player to score in double figures with 16 points.
The Scots are back in action on March 14 with a trip to Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
