Morgan Gentile was named PSAC West Player of the Year and
Rachael Manfredo the PSAC West Freshman of the Year announced by the conference office on Friday afternoon.
In addition to her Player of the Year accolades, Gentile was named to the PSAC West First Team. Senior guard
Hayley Sims earned second-team honors.
Gentile earned her second spot on the All-PSAC West squad after being a second-team choice a year ago. She ranked eighth in the PSAC in scoring with 15.1 points per game while also leading the conference in assists per game at 4.6. Gentile was also seventh in the PSAC in steals averaging 2.29 per contest.
Sims was named to the All-PSAC West second team. Her third time appearing on the all-conference team after earning two first-team selections. Sims averaged 12.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game. She became just the eighth player in Edinboro history to cross the 1,500-career point mark.
Manfredo finished the year averaging 7.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while increasing her minutes in the heart of PSAC West play. She ranked fourth in the league in blocked shots per game averaging 1.48. She scored a career-high 20 points against Cal on Jan. 25.
