Auburn, Ala. – The Edinboro wheelchair basketball team is in action on Friday and Saturday with four games at the Auburn Invitational.

Last Time Out
The Scots came out of their first tournament of the season with a 1-2 record scoring a 59-45 win over the City University of New York to close out the Wisconsin Whitewater Tournament on Nov. 23.
Statistical Leader
William Oberg played in one of the Scots three games and recorded a double-double with 27 points and 13 rebounds.
James Pollard averaged 16.0 points and 9.67 rebounds per game after the first three contests.
Isaiah Johnson added 15.7 points per game while
Jeremy Evans adds 12.0 points per contest.
Speed Named Head Coach
This will be the first tournament for new head coach
Will Speed. Since graduating from Edinboro in 2020, Speed held several positions in adaptive athletics. Most recently, Speed has worked as the Adaptive / Wheelchair Play Manager for the United States Tennis Association (USTA). He has worked with entities across the state of Florida to provide adaptive play opportunities, develop program parameters for community based adaptive and wheelchair tennis, organize training for facilities to provide adaptive and wheelchair tennis, and market adaptive and wheelchair tennis. As a player for the Scots, Speed played 70 games and made 68 starts. He was a four-time National Wheelchair Basketball Association Academic All-American. He also served as a team captain.
