Youngstown, Ohio – The Edinboro indoor track team returned to action on Friday at the Youngstown State Collegiate Invitational Friday.
Madeline Newark led the way for the Scots winning the high jump with a height of 1.64 meters. She also added a 10
th place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.42.
The quartet of Newark,
Mackenzie Fletcher,
Mackenzie Huston and
Bernadette Zukina turned in a second-place finish in a time of 4:04.54 in the 4x400 relay.
Maddison Doren posted a pair of top 10 finishes as well. Her distance of 10.50 meters in the triple jump was good for fifth while her 5.05 meters in the long jump earned her 10
th.
Zukina ran the 400-meter dash taking fifth with a time of 58.00. Huston crossed the line in 8.30 in the 60-meter dash to take 18
th. Fletcher also ran the 60-meter taking 27
th in 8.48. She also posted a 15
th place finish in the long jump with a distance of 4.93 meters.
Magdalena Jakubowska led four Scots in the one-mile run taking 10
th in 5:15.17. Katie Shope ran a time of 5:44.47 to take 30
th.
Madeline Hammond was right behind her in 31
st with a time of 5:44.67. The fourth Edinboro runner in the event was
Lily Bement with a time of 6:24.24 good for 36
th.
Kadi Bauer and
Alexa Trax finished back-to-back in the 3K. Bauer was sixth with a time of 10:22.27 while Trax time of 10:22.27 was good for 7
th.
Jocelyn Wilson added a 17
th place finish in a time of 11:19.21.
Eden Rush threw the shot 9.17 meters to take 11
th while
Jillian Kline was 20
th with a throw of 7.34 meters.
The Scots return to action on Jan. 25 when they attend the Midwest Invitational at Spire Institute.
