New York – The Edinboro wheelchair basketball team scored a pair of wins on Friday to hand head coach
Will Speed his first two wins as the leader for the Fighting Scots.
In the opener against the host City University of New York, the Scots scored a 65-58 victory with 14 players seeing the floor.
James Pollard led the Edinboro attack with a double-double of 30 points and 12 rebounds.
Jeremy Evans added 12 points and five assists while
Isaiah Johnson tallied 11 points.
The Scots shot 51.0 percent from the field including 61.5 percent in the second half.
Pollard also had a double-double in Edinboro's 70-58 win over Eastern Washington. He finished with 29 points and 11 rebounds. Evans added a double-double of his own with 22 points and 10 assists.
In a similar game script, the Scots shot 52.7 percent from the field and 64.0 percent in the second half. Edinboro did not attempt a 3-point basket in either of their victories on Friday.
The Scots finish out the CUNY Tournament on Saturday when they take on Arizona at noon.
